At Wakaya Perfection, we foster a thriving community of Independent Business Ambassadors who, like you, are sharing the Wakaya Perfection story with the world. At Wakaya Perfection, you work for yourself, but not by yourself! Meet our world-class top leaders.
Our story is for those that believe in faith, drive and commitment, because that is what took us to enjoy our success of today. Before we got involved in Network Marketing we were two kids in love, starting a family and working five businesses to put food on the table. I was riding bulls professionally and building and refinished antique furniture while Barb was cutting hair at a full service salon, operating a dance studio with over 60 students and had our two babies on either hip and one on the way. We were running 90 mph, stressed, stretched thin and were over $250,000.00 in debt. Our backs were against the wall working sun up until sun down.
It was Dave who got started in Network Marketing first, selling Nutritional products. I was not interested at all as I had given it a go with a few companies and experienced little to no success. I was amazed as I watched my incredibly brave husband replace our income in just 93 days! His immediate success allowed us to close our other businesses and become full time stay-at-home parents working in the Network Marketing Industry. This success inspired us so much that we have been FULL TIME in this business ever since.
What drew us to Wakaya Perfection was simple, we are humbled to know Todd Smith and for years we have admired not only his success in this industry but his character, his integrity and his vision. When we had the opportunity to get involved at such an early time in its pre-launch, we knew we couldn’t miss out on this. When in your lifetime would you be invited to prelaunch a company with the Founder of FIJI Water, David H. Gilmour, with a suite of pure and truly unique wellness products from the enchanting private island of Wakaya and have a co-founder like Todd Smith leading the charge? It was a trifecta of perfection and there was no question in our minds, we simply couldn’t pass this opportunity by. We watched Todd earn millions of dollars as a distributor so he has great insight as to what its like in the field. The timing, the opportunity and a 2x4 matrix left our heads spinning just thinking of how many others could benefit on so many levels from sharing a healthier lifestyle to becoming financially secure, just by getting involved. Once we tried the products we fell in love and couldn’t wait to share them! We have made millions of dollars in this industry and Wakaya Perfection gives us hope that we truly can help others do the same.
We genuinely enjoy helping people which is why we feel so at home at Wakaya Perfection. We consistently share the business with people every single day and help people get started by supporting them in embracing the system of meetings, calls and trainings and events. We guide them in the business, and we also encourage them to work on their own personal development on a daily basis. You don’t go through life, you grow through life! There is so much support for the people joining; we make it our sole focus to help others achieve their goals. We urge our team to view the 8-step plan as a recipe or a blueprint to follow in order to get a great outcome. We believe that the greatest success we’ll know is helping others succeed and grow. It is this approach that has propelled us to reach the Ruby Ambassador level in such an incredibly short timeframe.
Success however, rarely comes without challenges. Its how you handle those challenges that truly shapes your character and defines you as a person. Our biggest challenge was protecting our dreams. People have tried to stop us along this journey and sometimes it’s the people you think are your closest friends and even family. We overcome these obstacles by remaining united as partners and focused on the reality that if your dream is big enough, you can make it come true with consistency and self-discipline. We are both proof that this really does work - if you work it!
We both would like to thank Todd Smith, as we are forever thankful for his incredible vision, the sacrifice he has made to launch this venture and for believing in us to help bring his vision to life. We also want to thank the entire Corporate Team of Leadership. They are so amazing and the support from team members Andre Vaughn, Maxandra Desrosias, Blake Graham and more has been incredible. I personally must thank my husband Dave. He saw the vision long before I did and he has been 100% committed from day one. I am thankful for his vision, hard work and dedication. Lastly we both want to thank our families and all of the incredible support they have show to us. Without our loving family as our foundation, we would never have achieved such success!
FUN FACTS ABOUT DAVE & BARB
Her story is focused on enrichment. Baltimore based, Cynthia has let her belief and faith focus her life’s path. Happily married to her endlessly supportive husband Michael, and mother to her wonderful son Xavier, Cynthia began her career working at a high- powered and demanding Accounting firm. Already possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, Cynthia was more than curious when introduced to direct selling over 20 years ago. Her story shows how her faith and confidence combined with the ambitious belief in herself is making her continued success inevitable.
I was a Senior Accountant at a high-powered Accounting firm when I was first introduced to direct selling almost 20 years ago. In my first year, while I was learning the business, I could not believe that I had made almost as much part-time as I did with my full-time salary in the corporate world! I knew that I simply could not ignore the business potential. It ignited the entrepreneur in me and I have been in business for myself ever since.
I started in direct sales as a beauty consultant, which offered me independence, but a potential downside was that the income was not recurring. Every month was a new month, every home party was a new home party - so while it was richly rewarding, it started to feel like just another job, because I was not building any residual income. This really hit home, even after 10 years of building that brand, when I decided to “move on without them”, my check “moved on without me”! I really wanted something that would last, even outlast... outlast my hard work, and perhaps even outlast me!
It was then that I decided to try a more traditional business. I believed that ownership would give me the ability to create and leverage wealth. And, while today I still own a thriving salon and spa, it’s like a job more than ever! No residual income! Don’t get me wrong - the money can be very good in the salon industry, however the days are long, spent managing employees and interacting with clients. I reached a point in my life where I’d asked myself, am I taking charge or am I just taking chances? It was time for me to take charge!
Through all of economic ups and downs of the past few decades, the one business model that has always seemed to thrive is network marketing. Once upon a time, I dabbled in direct sales and almost doubled my income... At last I was now eager to take my network marketing experiences to the next level! It has always appealed to me, and it truly is the only way for ordinary people to achieve extraordinary residual income; you know! that kind of income that keeps paying you month after month, year after year! I was ready to find the next “big thing”, but I had no idea that the “big thing” was about to find me...
It was right about then when Andre Vaughn called me to share the story of Wakaya Perfection. I could barely believe my ears! Founded by serial entrepreneur David H. Gilmour, who was also the Founder of FIJI water, products that were personally picked twice by Oprah Winfrey for her Favorite Things list, products such as ginger and turmeric that were so pure and grown on a private island in Fiji, a revolutionary compensation plan – You have got to be kidding me?! I was absolutely fearless in joining Wakaya Perfection. I had been looking for a company like Wakaya Perfection for 10 years, so my decision was truly a no brainer. I knew we had something very special and I knew I had to be a part of it.
I am so happy to share that moving quickly through the ranks of Wakaya Perfection has been simple. I’m truly excited about the company and I make it a priority to steadfastly follow the Wakaya Perfection 8 steps to Financial Success System. I share the Wakaya Perfection plan with at least 1 person every day. Whether by recruiting a prospect into the daily blitz calls, showing a prospect the 20-minute opportunity video, or inviting guests to a live opportunity meeting, I do not allow my head to hit my pillow until I show the plan to at least 1 person a day. Consistently following up with a prospect is the special sauce that separates the people who achieve financial freedom in this industry. I teach my team to do what the million-dollar earners teach; Follow the 8-step system and don’t reinvent the wheel. You want your efforts to duplicate throughout your team. Using this system has built my team to over 100 Ambassadors strong!
Building strong residual income has always been my “WHY” for doing Network Marketing. It represents freedom to live life on our terms for my family and me. Residual income is the best retirement plan on the market! My first residual check in Wakaya Perfection was bigger than any residual check that I have ever received after my first month in any other company. I am truly grateful for Wakaya Perfection because I truly believe it is an opportunity perfected!
It is extremely exciting to have achieved the Diamond rank. From the day I signed my ambassador agreement I knew that Diamond was where I wanted to be, so immediately I went to work. Achieving Diamond status within a year just tells you the strength of our products and how the message of "A Plan To A Grand" really resonates with people. I influence others by letting people who I come in contact with, see that you CAN win in life. Winning is a lifestyle for me and I teach that lifestyle to others on a daily basis.
I am honored to share my four key areas of success: 1. Become a good storyteller of your WHY. 2. Be passionate about the product, compensation plan, and the company and how you're on a crusade using Wakaya Perfection as your vehicle to help change the world for the better. 3 Work consistently, every day on your business. 4. Learn from the people that are where you want to be.
It is amazing to me when I look back to one year ago. At that time, I was settling in as a traditional business owner of a thriving salon. Even though I owned the salon, it felt more like a job, trading time for money and going into the salon 5 times a week. Now, only one year later, I have put systems in place where I only have to go into the salon once a week and now I'm working my Wakaya Perfection business from home, every day which I love!
Now it is time to look forward. One year from now I plan on traveling the world and changing lives by giving people hope with these amazing products and our "Plan To A Grand"! I'm truly on a crusade to help thousands of families bring $1000 or more of monthly residual income to their households with Wakaya Perfection.
FUN FACTS ABOUT CYNTHIA:
Before we get into Blake’s Wakaya story, we should point out that before the launch of Wakaya Perfection, Blake had already proven himself as a 7-figure income earner and was even recognized as one of the “Greatest Networkers in the World” in the 2014 book by the same title. That said, Blake hasn’t brought any special talents, tendencies, or advantages to the business… well, that is except for his heartfelt desire to help people and improve the lives of everyone he meets.
Blake’s Wakaya journey actually started over two decades ago when he left his pre-med studies in favor of the direct sales industry. Friends and family called him crazy, but Blake knew that modern medicine was only one of many healthcare options available to people– and not always the best option. Since that time, Blake has been a student of health and a student of wealth being mentored by many icons, mavericks, and masters of each.
He’s quick to point out that “some of life’s decisions come after careful and time-consuming consideration, while others are forced upon us by other people or life’s circumstances, but that all can be doorways to even greater opportunity.” He also adds that “If what you’re doing now–your job, your diet, your health, your career–isn’t working, it may be time to try something different! It works for me, and it just might work for you too!”
One of his most memorable stories is from his early years in the industry. Strapped for cash, he recalls one of his first goals of being able to afford cheese for his hamburgers. “One day, we’ll be able to afford the extra fifty cents!” A funny and wise story, pointing out that everyone we know and everyone we don’t know struggle with different things at different levels. “To some people, putting cheese on a hamburger is a big deal! To others, sleeping through the night, losing weight, or eliminating pain would be nothing short of miraculous… Do your best to not put your expectations on people, rather find out what their expectations are–then help them to realize them!”
Blake is not only fluent in the languages of health and wealth, but he speaks Japanese as well! He currently resides with his family in Japan and oversees Wakaya’s Japan operations, but he travels back and forth regularly to give business building and wellness seminars to large crowds in person and on various social media platforms. His advice to new Ambassadors and those looking to break through a plateau? “Keep the main thing the main thing. If you approach every prospect with dollar signs in your eyes, you’ll scare people off… But if you focus on the people, ask good questions, then hush up and listen… they’ll tell you everything you need to know to serve them. Never forget that it’s ALL about the PEOPLE!”
Stacey’s story began in rural northern Virginia, she now proudly resides in Richmond. She spends most of her time running her business in addition to devoting much time and support cheering on her athletic daughter from the sidelines. Stacey is a veteran in network marketing, but over the years, her faith and patience in growing a well- oiled home based business were running its course. That is until she found Wakaya Perfection.
Before joining Wakaya Perfection, Stacey was affiliated with many different companies and although she found success, she was never completely satisfied. She never felt that a company’s product theme and compensation aligned. “I felt so stagnant in network marketing.” So it was to no surprise when she ignored her two best friends when approached to jump on the bandwagon in Wakaya Perfection.
After months of seeing her friends flourish in weight loss, she finally decided to sit in on a presentation. “It was nothing like I have ever seen before. It wasn’t your traditional yoyo network marketing. It was straight to the point.” Stacey says, she has always been money driven and upon leaving her first meeting, she had no idea how anyone got paid. All she remembers was the lives changed and she began to realize that there was a system in place that was special.
After the meeting, Stacey joined the second BulaFIT challenge. After 90 days of seeing significant pounds and inches lost, Stacey started her business and never looked back. She feels that the leadership and system in place led her to where she is today. By going live, being authentic and following the system, her business grew. For the first time, Stacey expressed, “ I did not feel the need to rub money in people’s faces. I was helping others and by default hitting my own personal strides.” For the first time, I couldn’t explain the checks that I was cashing every month, I was simply plugging into a system that was catered to helping others first.”
In conclusion, Stacey adds that the support and influence around her were second to none, “the best she has ever experienced.” She goes on to say that she would not be where she is today, without such honest and hard working individuals around her. “We are a family and we cheer each other on.” They have even labeled themselves, “Team No Sleep.” She went on to explain that they will work until everyone crosses the finish line each month, “I haven’t stopped believing what I am preaching to others. I never feel like a hassle anymore, because Wakaya Perfection has something for everyone.”
Her story is about having a strong foundation and learning to overcome adversity with positivity. Born and raised in Sterling, Virginia, Renee Brown was raised in a rural area by her loving parents. She and her sister where taught to appreciate the little things in life. After watching her Mother suffer and overcome an illness and watching her father care for her while raising kids and working, Renee learned that life is precious and that you need to trust that love and strength will carry you through the hard times. Her story proves that the love of family, drive and determination can get you anywhere in life.
I grew up in Sterling, Virginia with my mother, father, and sister. We lived in a pretty rural area and learned to appreciate the little things in life. My parents worked hard and taught us that life is what you make of it, so make the best of it while you can. As a teenager, my mother suffered from an illness that forced her to retire from her dream job at a young age. My father cared for her, worked his full-time job, and still had time for our extracurricular activities. My mother ultimately triumphed over her illness, becoming a “Stay at Home Mom/Entrepreneur” with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Giving in to circumstances or giving up on the future was never an option growing up in our house! I have both of my parents to thank for that incredibly valuable lesson.
Fast forward to today, currently I live in Bowie, Maryland with my handsome husband of 22 years JB Brown, a 12-year NFL Veteran (Dolphins, Steelers, Cardinals, & Lions). Together we have a blended family of 4 children (James III-17, Janee-21, Michael-23, and Leia-27), a son in law Jay, and 2 adorable grandsons Quincy-4 and Amir-2. As you can imagine, life is quite busy, in fact hectic at times.
I took a break from Network Marketing in 2013 and focused solely on my Insurance Business. I love helping people and generating residual income! The financial services industry allowed me to do both, but the system that I was working in did not allow me to build a team. My income was based solely on my own efforts, and I knew I could not build the type of wealth that I was really looking for. We’re Close to being “empty nesters;” longing to travel more, have fun, and manage our residual income from anywhere in the world! Wakaya Perfection could not have come at a better time in our lives!
However, when Wakaya Perfection was first introduced to me, I was not ready to receive it at all. I had been in the Network Marketing Industry for over 12 years and I was “all done” with the industry - so I thought. Having worked with several companies where I experienced both booms and busts, my good and bad experiences nearly burned me out. But the amazing products of Wakaya Perfection - the Bula Hydration System, the Organic Pink Fijian Ginger and Organic Fijian Turmeric drew both my husband and I in closer. We had been searching for truly pure, natural products that could help support our health. Wakaya Perfection was our answer!
It took a friend’s (Founding Diamond Ambassador Cynthia Sligh) persistence and gentle encouragement to make me take a closer look at Wakaya Perfection. We knew each other from a previous Network Marketing Business and we kept in touch online. She sent me information every month for 4 months before I finally said “Okay Cynthia, when can we meet?” Once my husband and I saw the entire product line in person, we were both sold! My husband said let’s go for it! Even if we don’t make any money on the business side we now had pure, natural products at a wholesale price! I am very thankful to Cynthia for introducing Wakaya Perfection to me.
Wakaya Perfection’s high impact products, revolutionary compensation plan, easily duplicated marketing system made it truly love at first sight! I knew the moment Cynthia said to me, all you need to do is “Ask the Million Dollar Question” and then set up a video appointment to share the opportunity, that this was going to be a breath of fresh air for me. After meeting the Leadership team in Maryland I was ALL IN. Wakaya Perfection had everything I was looking for!
My approach to building my Wakaya business is pretty simple. Being coachable and a quick learner in this business is very important. I learned that the key to success is Duplication. I knew my mentor Cynthia Sligh was a top leader in the Industry so I followed her system to a tee. She gave me her game plan system for success: pique the interest with a simple question, set a video appointment, schedule a 3 way call to close, so I ran with it! I plugged into the systems from day one, conference calls, weekly meetings, regional meetings, and more. Having great support from my husband and my team was crucial to my quick success. With all their help, I was able to rank up to the level of Ruby in September 2016 and then Emerald in March 2017.
The challenges I’ve faced so far have all been created by me. I lacked confidence in my presentations and thought that after years in the industry, I now belong to the N.F.L. (“No Friends Left”) Club. I simply didn’t want to reach out to my past and present friends and networkers because I just thought they would not be interested or were involved in another business. I soon found out that everyone is open to our High Impact products! Health is the New Wealth and EVERYONE has the need for what we have to offer!
Success Tips for your Wakaya Business: Duplicate, be coachable and eager to learn; stay positive, PLUGGED IN, and NEVER EVER QUIT! Be sure to determine your “WHY” first and foremost. What is going to be the driving force behind you being laser focused in your business and the reason you never quit? One of my favorite quotes - “Be Willing To Do What’s Hard - If you’re only willing to do what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.” T Harv Eker
One of my life goals is to motivate and help as many Women as I can to become Financially Empowered and discover their true talents in life – in our business or in life! I must thank Cynthia Sligh for her dedication from day one. She has poured into me her years of experience, support, training, wise business advice, and she supports my entire team as well. Whenever we have set a team goal, we have never failed. I love the fact that everyone is willing to learn and grow together. There are no egos here, no BIG I’s or little u’s! Everyone is special to me and I am inspired is to see every one of my business partners WIN financially. To my husband and family, my success is their success. The smile on my daughter’s face when she sees her mother WINNING is priceless; the extra luxuries my family enjoys motivates me, and to see our bank account on the rise is the ultimate!
Their story is of courage and determination. Sarah was born and raised in Pennsylvania, Ohio and currently resides in upstate NY. She has been married to her husband Jeremy for 11 years, and is a blessed mother to 2 beautiful children, a boy and a girl. They dappled in Network Marketing early in their career and Sarah also was in the health care industry. It took several traumatic health experiences for Sarah to discover her true calling in the Network Marketing world. Their passion for helping others is part of their DNA and their story, as told by Sarah, shows that courage and determination are a winning combination and that there is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
I grew up a Pastor's daughter, the oldest of four siblings. You could of describe me as introverted and shy growing up, but I would always go above and beyond to help others and to make them feel good about themselves. I was introduced to Network marketing about 15 years ago with my husband and we were unsuccessful. Right around the same time I got into the health care field because I wanted to help people, and I enjoyed the medical profession. I worked in both the emergency, and recovery room. In 2011 I had an accident at the hospital where I worked and suffered a traumatic brain injury that affected my optic nerve, peripheral, and depth perception. I was unable to work outside the home or even drive which was terribly challenging, however, it was because of this that I discovered the wonderful world of network marketing again.
In 2012 I made some major shifts in my life. I became a certified health coach and in an effort to continuously improve my life, I lost 70 pounds! I felt so good that I wanted to pay it forward, so I helped numerous clients lose weight and get healthy! I was very successful and was able to continue to be a stay at home mom and have the luxury of working from home. Approximately a year later, I helped to launch a brand new jewelry company but experienced minimal success. I brought in about 20 people personally, but spent much more than I ever made. While I was passionate about what I was doing, the product, the company, and its leaders (integrity is everything to me) I realized that although jewelry is beautiful and fun, it is not a consumable product. People don't need it on a monthly basis, and does not create a residual income. We ended up being bought out by another company in the end. Around the same time my husband lost his job, and we were struggling to make ends meet, put food on the table, and we were even in danger of losing our house. This opportunity with Wakaya Perfection was literally a blessing that fell into our laps when we weren't looking for anything new. Sometimes God has other plans!
In February of 2016, I was involved in a bad car accident. I'm thankful that I'm still here on this earth, as God isn't finished with me yet. One of my team mates from a previous company, Rebecca called me when I was in the hospital. She was so excited because she had just joined a brand new to network marketing company called Wakaya Perfection, and she had teamed up with the Founder of FIJI Water. She also told me that it was pre-launching with 50-60 products which was music to my ears because the company that we were involved in had around 3,000 products, which was a lot to keep track of. At the time we didn't even know what the products were going to be. We didn't even have a website, but over the next few months as the products started to be revealed, I realized what we truly had with this amazing company! When I saw the video on the compensation plan, I got really excited! I showed my husband the video and he said," we've got to do this!" We cannot afford to miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime, especially at the very beginning!
I am passionate about Wakaya Perfection’s integrity, culture, and family atmosphere. Our company, the leadership, Corporate team, world class training, and being able to help people discover financial freedom, time freedom, and helping people get healthy is a dream. We truly are one team one dream and help support and encourage one another! My number one goal is to make a difference in people's lives. I want people to say because of your love, support, and encouragement, I didn't give up. That is most meaningful to me.
The products have been life changing for me! After the accident I had to use a cane to get around and was on all kinds of prescription medications for pain, inflammation, digestive issues, headaches, sleep, etc. I started taking our core products specifically turmeric and ginger and within a month, I was able to get rid of my cane, and I am no longer on any prescription meds. I now have my health back with these products, and am regaining my independence with not only my health but have finally found my home with Wakaya Perfection, and have discovered financial freedom.
I used social media to grow my business. I am constantly stepping out of my comfort zone. I make videos, I try to share this opportunity with everyone that I meet. You never know who's praying for an opportunity like this to come along. Our up-line has done meetings all over the country for prospects and team members. As far as advice, I can’t say enough how important it is to complete the 8 steps in your back office as soon as possible. Stay plugged in. All of our calls are archived so you can go back and re-listen to any training that you missed. You don't have to reinvent the wheel! Share the opportunity with everyone that you meet! People don't care how much you know, until they know how much that you care!
It has been an UNBELIEVABLE ride for both myself and my husband Jeremy to have reached the Diamond status together! If we can do it, then you can too! The sky is NOT even the Limit with this Opportunity! We are Blessed, Humbled, Excited, and so thankful to God, as we have advanced though the ranks of Coral to Diamond in 13 months with the support of our up-line, downline, and crossline! We want to continue to give God all of the Glory for our successes, along with our Amazing TEAM!!! It doesn’t matter where you are in the organization, as we are all ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM! It’s the WAKAYA WAY!! We are so THANKFUL for all of our Wakaya Family that we have met over the last year. We’re so thankful to David Gilmour, and our entire Corporate Team! Thank you all for everything that you do to make this company the very BEST!!
The key to being influential is to always maintain a positive attitude. We believe that Passion, Persistence, Perseverance, Patience, and Prayer is Key! Perspective has everything to do with your success at Wakaya Perfection and in life. It is important to stay positive and to always focus on the big picture in Life, and the opportunity that we have at hand in the very beginning, with Wakaya Perfection. We have the calling to help so many obtain time freedom, financial freedom, and most importantly their health! As David Gilmour says: “what good is time and money, if you don’t have your health."
Our four keys to success?
1.) Be Genuine and Listen to what is important to other people. Let them talk, our job is to listen. Show an interest in others, and what matters to them (THEIR WHY). When you help others succeed and accomplish their WHY, you will succeed too! Always remain Humble and Thankful throughout all of your successes.
2.) We attended training events, boot camps, etc. We brought our 2 children (OUR WHY) to Launch in Las Vegas, the Founder’s cruise in January, and Lord willing again for our Annual Convention, Regional meetings and Cruise in January 2018. The PEASE Family is WAKAYA Perfection! We have regular local meetings and spend time together as a team. We’re planning opportunity meetings. We stay in contact with our builders from all over the USA, and soon to be the World!! We're there for our team whenever they need us for three way calls, events, showing the plan, encouragement, etc. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service, and a great experience for our customers, and to be there for our team and Wakaya Family, whenever needed.
3.) I developed a very large social media presence by doing videos on YouTube and Facebook. We jointly created intriguing posts that created curiosity along with positive and uplifting messages, and posted in groups to advertise. Our goal is to share this life changing opportunity with everyone that we meet, and get their contact information. Even though it may not seem like it at times, people are watching your Facebook posts. It’s important to be a walking, talking, billboard for Wakaya. We brand ourselves by wearing Wakaya Perfection logo wear, carrying our Bula bobble, and are always prepared to share our story, products, or opportunity. Be sure not to pre-judge anyone. A year ago we didn’t have the money to get started, but so thankful to our sponsor Rebecca for reaching out and sharing this opportunity of a lifetime with us! You never know who could be praying like we were for a miracle, for something like this to come along.
4.) Staying plugged in to our calls, training calls, getting prospects onto our Launch calls. Implementing the 8 steps into our business and teaching this same blueprint to success to our team members resulting in duplication. We share the tools with people, (opportunity video) going for the No! You won’t believe how many YES’s that you’ll receive along the way. Sometimes NO just means not right now. Follow up, Follow up, Follow up, and Follow up again! Did we mention to follow up? Keep these people in your pipeline. It can take numerous exposures before someone joins you in your Business. Be patient, persistent, and persevere. Your hard work, patience, persistence, and perseverance will pay off! Stay passionate, and laser focused! All that glistens out there in our industry is not gold! What we all have with Wakaya Perfection is truly special, and is a gold mine of an opportunity! We’re in business with a BILLIONAIRE, with the best corporate team in the industry! Our High Impact Products are Life changing! Our Plan to a Grand compensation plan is like no other! Every single one of us are blessed to have an opportunity such as this, in the infancy of our company! We will change lives for the good, if we follow the plan, and stay plugged in!
One year from now, I would like to be more comfortable with public speaking, self-development, and training. It’s always about stepping out of your comfort zone to grow, and over-coming fear. We love the quote, "God changes caterpillars into butterflies, sand into pearls, and coal into diamonds, using TIME and PRESSURE, He’s working on you too!" We are the dynamic duo. Jeremy doesn’t mind public speaking, where I enjoy being behind the scenes, and in front of the video camera. We want to be celebrating DIAMONDS in our organization, and throughout the WAKAYA Family! DREAMS+ACTION=SUCCESS!!
Only a year ago, having suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2011, I was unable to drive or work outside of the home. In 2015, Jeremy lost his job, our primary source of income. We were in danger of losing our house, on food stamps, and not satisfied with the status quo. We even had to borrow money to get started. We were praying for a Miracle! The Wakaya Perfection products and opportunity arrived at the perfect time! It has changed our Lives, Health, and our Finances! I no longer using a cane! I gave it to one of my team-mates, who because of Wakaya Perfection’s high impact products, also no longer needs it! She is off ALL prescription medications and only taking our products. We’ve been able to replace 2 traditional corporate America incomes! Jeremy is talking about seriously retiring at age 40, and we’re in the process of searching for a home on the lake, one of our WHYS. The Wakaya Perfection opportunity and products have CHANGED our lives!! Since our Founder’s Cruise, Jeremy and I lost almost 50 pounds together!

His biggest goal growing up was to play Division 1 sports and he played football at Kansas State University for a year out of high school. Chance realized very quickly that the football lifestyle was not for him. Rather than remain in a small town for five years and be encumbered by student loans, Chance decided to carve the path to his own future. At 19 years of age he left college and started building his network marketing business. His story proves that the winning combination of passion and determination can help make your dreams come true.
My biggest goal growing up was to play Division 1 sports, but after I played football at Kansas State and experienced that lifestyle, I realized I realized it wasn’t for me. I was lucky to grow up very closely to the network marketing industry so once I got to college I knew I could create my own career. I didn’t want to stay in one town, around the same people for the next five years of my life, and drive myself into debt with student loans. I had a strong desire to travel and see more of the world and I felt as though I would be missing out on amazing experiences. At 19 I left college and started building a network marketing business. My purpose was stronger than just making money. It was important for me to get very clear on my dreams, which were to travel, pay off my car and start a Non-Profit clothing line. I used the income I generated from Network Marketing to accomplish these goals and my entrepreneurial spirit was born.
I was very fortunate, growing up with parents who were making a great living in Network Marketing, however, even surrounded by that upbringing, I still wasn’t 100% set on making a career in that industry. At 18 I followed the crowd and went the traditional route of college, imagining that I would get a degree and join corporate America one day. It didn’t take me long to realize that was not the route for me. I woke up every day going to class, going to football practice trying to figure out my place in the world. My parents, and many close friends were traveling around the country building their Network Marketing businesses, seeing new places and meeting new people; meanwhile I was stuck in a small Kansas town for the next five years. I was restless and I saw a great vision for my future within’ this industry. I soon realized that I could make the type of money my coaches and college professors were making with this industry at 18 years of age.
My parents were the ones who motivated me to join Wakaya Perfection. After seeing all of their success in this industry throughout the years, and their excitement to build Wakaya Perfection, I wanted to become a part of it. The people are what drew me to Wakaya Perfection. From top to bottom they are full of integrity. I don’t visualize this being a short-term business venture. I see Wakaya Perfection as something that I will be involved with for the rest of my life. These are people I plan on doing life with.
I am incredibly passionate about the Wakaya Perfection business opportunity. It allows you to leverage your time, get paid residually – you work one time and get paid on that work for the rest of your life. I am passionate on sharing the moneymaking opportunities that Wakaya Perfection offers with others who think that there is no other way than just waking up and working the normal 9-5 hourly job to pay the bills. Wakaya Perfection gives you the opportunity to dream and strive for your goals in life instead of just being content and getting by. My success is simple, I share this opportunity with Wakaya Perfection with all of my prospects and friends and I plug them into the system. I follow the 8-step system religiously and it has paid off. Rather than get overwhelmed thinking I have to do everything on my own, I stay engaged by attending the daily calls with my group and by attending as many of the events and the meetings that I can.
The toughest challenge I had to overcome was facing rejection from friends, or people I thought would love to join this opportunity. I have gotten plenty of “No’s” and it can definitely be tough when someone you thought would love this opportunity denies you. At the same time some of the people I thought would never join this company, join immediately. So I have learned not to judge people when introducing them to Wakaya Perfection and I believe in the law of averages. For every No there are plenty of Yes’s out there.
My number one life goal is to become 100% financially free and not have to worry about money when I wake up in the morning. I thank my parents, Barb and Dave Pitcock, and all of the great people and inspirational leaders they have introduced me to along the way. They introduced me to this industry at such a young age, and its one of the best gifts they could have given to me. The fact that I can work for myself, own my own business and my own time is incredible and it is something most people feel they can’t attain. Having seen the success that my parents and their friends have achieved in this industry firsthand, my confidence in the network marketing industry and Wakaya Perfection is absolute.
I consistently influence and motivate my team by being on the phone with my whole team every single day. We have accountability calls 7 days of the week, and I attend live meetings with them 2-3 nights of the week. Getting everyone to events has probably made the biggest impact on my team’s success. Social media also has had a huge impact on all of us staying connected. Getting the whole team plugged into the 8 steps and personal development is also key.
My four key pieces of wisdom for success are:
1. Get out of your comfort zone. Stay out of your comfort zone.
2. Know your why, write your goals down every single day.
3. Do 5 live 3 way calls a day with guests.
4. Work consistently 2-3 hours every single day. Be patient.
One year ago I was just beginning my journey with Wakaya Perfection. I have grown so much personally over the past 365 days, and the company has as well. The compensation plan and the products Wakaya offers are absolutely incredible. The people I have met, and had the opportunity to work with over the past year are definitely the thing that has changed my life the most. We are truly a family in this company, and the Wakaya Way is real. In one year from now I definitely want to be at least a Diamond Ambassador with Wakaya Perfection. I know many of my team members are also striving to reach the diamond level as well, so who knows where we will be a whole year from now. The future is definitely bright.
Wakaya Perfection is proud to work alongside this veteran Ambassador. He sets a great example for those who seek success in the industry of Direct Sales. Although he sometimes refers to himself as, “The guy that sits quietly in the back of the room,” ironically, his do-it-first leadership style speaks loudly in his stead. Wakaya is excited to highlight the story of this newly promoted Diamond Ambassador, Kurt Elder.
Kurt is an Australian native, but currently resides in Utah with his family. Kurt has spent over 15 years in Network Marketing and says that in the beginning of his career, he was not enthused by the business. “I was not excited about the idea of Network Marketing, because of the get rich quick scheme (often) attached to it.” However, he persisted on because of his love for the products. “A company needs to have innovative products,” Kurt says. “When I realized that the quality of products I started to consume every day, could not be purchased in local stores, I continued on with my small business.”
Kurt recalls the shocking success in his first company; he earned a check for $3.00! Surprised by that, he set a goal to earn enough to pay for his personal product consumption and help a few people do the same. , “My checks kept increasing every month, I was receiving “free” products and I was helping others do the same.” Little did he know then, that small momentum would drive him into the success he has today.
Fun fact about Kurt is that he is not the “showy guy” in the room. Even after continued success in MLM, he did not think that he had the personality to be in direct sales. Then, fast forward, Kurt finished Undergraduate and Graduate school alongside continuing to put only a few extra hours a week into his business. Kurt expressed that he enjoyed making the extra money during school, because it gave him opportunity to take holidays with his family. However, upon completing school and finding himself unhappy working in a corporate job, the proverbial light bulb went on. After taking that corporate job, he had less and less time, and had stepped back from building his MLM business, yet his checks continued to grow. This was when the power of residual income was realized, changing his perspective on the direction of his life. He resigned from corporate America.
“People need to do whatever they can to understand the power of residual income.” Kurt also believes that with the right products, integrity, leadership, and a valuable compensation plan, this industry can indeed change lives. “Wakaya Perfection has everything in line to succeed, you just need the willingness to drive the line with the team.” When asked how he builds the business with his “less than in your face” personality, he responded with this;
“I am the miner in the group. In an ego driven world, lead with people that are self-motivated. I find the ones who have the fire and mentor them through their journeys. You will always recruit and share stories, however, (success) is finding the few leaders in your group to run with.”
Wakaya Perfection would like to introduce this amazing dynamic duo from Kingstree, South Carolina. Tonya Fulton, a former professor at Williamsburg Technical College and Wilbur Fulton, a social worker with the Department of Social Services, are some of our newest Diamond Ambassadors. Two years ago, prior to joining Wakaya, they had zero Network Marketing experience. Their story, just like many others, are that with passion and a focus, success in this industry can not only come to you, but blossom!
Tonya expresses with excitement that “This is our first and last networking marketing company.” An old friend, Anestine Etienne called the couple one day asking them to check out Wakaya’s new and powerful products. Tonya and Wilbur were definitely onboard with the idea of losing some weight and getting healthier, so they decided to give it a go. “At that point, we were just consumers of the products, not having a clue about what the business entailed.” And just like many, they started loving their results.
“We just started calling everyone we knew. People trust our word and soon after the customers started flooding in,” Tonya said. She laughs when explaining, “We had so many people telling us that we could build a business. Then a ‘million’ people on Facebook started congratulating us on rank advancements in our business; all the while we really had no clue what we were doing; or what a rank advancement even was.”
Maxandra Desrosiers encouraged them to attend a meeting, and soon after seeing what the company was all about, they got onboard with learning about the business. “It was not until our first Bula Bash that our life truly changed,” Tonya said. “That is when our customers turned into a full-blown business for our family.” Something important to note in this story, is Wilbur and Tonya suffered a horrible car accident soon after joining Wakaya. They explained that the medications that were prescribed by their doctors, came with unacceptable complications and side effects. Taking a leap of faith, they ONLY consumed Ginger, Turmeric, Bone and Muscle and Joint caps through their long recovery. They were astounded by the results of their bodies healing naturally. “Our results turned our business into a business. We just wanted to get out there and see people whole and healthy,” Tonya said.
Their business includes everyone – from Grandma to their sons! “We are a Wakaya Family.” Tonya and Wilbur are also founders of a Christian Ministry and are proud to have Wakaya right alongside. Their mission of helping others now includes both spiritual and health journeys. “Wakaya continues to give new experiences for our family and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
When asked about advice to give to people that are hesitant to get started, Tonya closed with this: “Wakaya has everything set up for you to win. Everything was foreign to me when starting, so be helpful to others when you learn the power of what we have here. Hold people’s hand and plug them into our system that works. We believe that with God, ALL things are possible and at your reach. God Bless.”
Wakaya Perfection is proud to work alongside this dynamic duo. Wendy, originally from the beautiful island of Hawaii, and Reggie, an east coast native, now reside in Fort Washington, Maryland. Nearing their 25th wedding anniversary, they are the proud parents of 3 sons and grandparents of 5 beautiful grandchildren.
Most would look at their hectic family and work life and assume that they are too busy to build a dynamic team that spans 6 time zones. But Wendy, a federal agent, and Reggie, a supervisor in Diplomatic Security for the Department of State, make it work! With a coy smile, Reggie credits his 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps for his disciplined leadership skills. Reggie and Wendy are true testaments that being busy does not mean it is impossible to build a successful part-time business from home. Their real secret? Setting goals and working the business together. Their sights are squarely set on retiring in the next couple of years so they can expand their business all over the US and abroad.
Despite their new found excitement, Reggie and Wendy are not new to the direct sales industry. They embarked on a business over 10 years ago when they met Cynthia Sligh. They tried several companies, however, Wakaya has been the first company where they have seen sustained success. This is due to what they refer to as “Wakaya’s mission and generous compensation plan.” Alongside the comp plan, the couple fell in love with the BulaFITTM program. “We tried many diets, but nothing worked. However, when BulaFIT worked for us, we started building and ranking up in the business. It was a win-win!”
When asked about what stands out the most about the Wakaya Way Wendy said, “(The) Wakaya Way is equivalent to the Hawaiian sayings of ‘Malama Pono which means to ‘take care of’ (whether it’s people or yourself) or the aloha spirit (showing love to all people). They have always practiced malama pono in their life through the aloha spirit because they "value people for who they are” and not just for "what they can do.” When you stop wondering what you can get out of others and focus on what you can do to help them, your business will shift into the right direction.”
Reggie reminds others starting out in direct sales to “stay steady; it is not a race. Take time to educate and support your team, no matter the time it takes to do so. Stay with it, do not give up, and do not worry about what others are saying to you. Consistency is key when building from home.”
This power couple also encourages others to “take advantage of the Pacesetter Program. It is a road map for success. When you can teach others how to achieve those milestones in the beginning of their journeys, your team will grow.” In closing, Reggie and Wendy remind others to understand that “building takes time. Not everyone will be your business partner, especially if they are not ready to run a business. However, everyone can benefit from the products of Wakaya. They can achieve optimal health and the line of options can be tailored to any individual’s needs and budget. In other words, meet people where they are and continue to be a helping hand.”
Reggie and Wendy would just like to tell everyone that, “Wakaya is their ohana(family). And like the movie Lilo and Stitch, ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind."
His story is about having the confidence to chase your passions. Born in the Washington D.C. Metro area, in 1988 Vincent Vaughan moved to Baltimore, Maryland to study business management at Morgan State University. Based full time in Baltimore, Vincent is happily married to his wife Ebony for almost 18 years and they have been blessed with two wonderful children, Joshua, 16 and Jessica, 14. Vincent’s career was always in corporate America, however, he realized that it didn’t offer him time freedom, the security of retiring with a pension or the ability to follow his passion: photography. His story shows that by working diligently towards your goal, success may be within reach.
By day I am work in the corporate world working for a fortune 500 Company, by nights and weekends I am a professional photographer. My corporate job is very tough; I do it to provide for my family. I was getting tired of working all the time and never getting to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I want to enjoy life with my family & friends, enjoy my hobbies, read great books and work on some personal projects in the area of photography. For me, the combination of wanting a strong retirement plan, paying for my children’s College education and paying off my mortgage were my three big goals that motivated me dip my toe back into the Network Marketing pool. I met Andre Vaughan at a church service that I was photographing a few years ago. Andre introduced himself, and inquired about my photography services for his Semi-pro Basketball Team. When Wakaya Perfection’s Network Marketing was launched I was right there to enroll as an Ambassador the very first day!
I am impressed with everything that Wakaya Perfection offers. I am thankful to be a part of the early prelaunch of this special company. Our products have been endorsed by Oprah Winfrey twice as her “Favorite Thing” and from the David H. Gilmour and Todd Smith connection, to the field leaders, and corporate staff, the team is first class. The quality, potency and the research and development that went into the Wakaya Perfection product line blew me away. Wakaya Perfection is a five-star organization filled with humble leaders that are experienced, kind and smart. The timing of the business opportunity combined with a fair and balanced compensation plan was refreshing.
When I joined forces with Andre Vaughn I decided to enter into “Student Mode”. There is a saying “that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. I try to lead from the front. That means I still prospect and show the plan as much as I can and make sure that our Ambassadors follow the 8-step plan and stay “plugged in”. People can tell if you are not putting in the work. You have to bench mark and observe best practices that industry leaders are using to get huge results. I manage my time carefully so that I can attend meetings; training calls, still find time to prospect and more. It’s amazing how many prospecting, coaching and development calls you can make to your team while being stuck in rush hour traffic on the way to and from work. I have to give great thanks to my wife and kids. I know it’s not easy to be married to a workaholic and entrepreneur.
This east coast native shares a journey that is not your typical multi-level marketing story. She was not looking for another income, she was looking for a way to enhance the lives of clients that she worked with in her traditional job. To her surprise, the lives that she touched turned into a thriving home-based business, and created what that she refers to as, “The Dream Team.”
Born and raised in Maryland, Alita, known to her friends as Pink, now resides in Washington D.C. She came into contact with Wakaya when she witnessed a phenomenal weight loss transformation on social media. “I was curious about what they were doing,” she said. When she received the information about the system in Wakaya, she loved that it wasn’t another yo’yo diet “scam”, but that it represented a more natural way to lose fat and shed unwanted inches.
Alita is passionate when she says, “I am looked upon by my peers as an educator in life, and in health. I wanted to get these products to the people that I know needed them the most.”
Alita referred to getting her business started as something she signed up for immediately, but did not start building right away. “With how well the system works, I feel that my busuness just happened by chance.” Alita goes on to say that, “I kust kept sharing countless success stories and before I knew it, with the integrity that I hold within myself and the ways in which people hold trust within me, my business started to grow. She adds, “Once I hit pacesetter, I sort of had a lightbulb moment to continue to build this. It got to a point where I didn’t even have to think about what to say, I just enjoyed sharing the products.”
Like many Wakaya leaders, most of them make it a family affair. Her mother, husband and two sons are pacesetter stars too. “My family and my team, we all work together. We help with three-way calls, we have a commitment to each other and to everyone we share this with. Most importantly, we all have a lot of fun doing this together.”
When asked about advice she has for others thinking about joining Wakaya. She answered with this; “Be intentional with your business. Making a separate income is a great perk, but lead to the mission of Wakaya first. When you focus on transforming other people’s lives, the growth in your team and in the integrity of your team grows naturally.” She also touched upon the fact that when life does get in the way ( because it will), JUST KEEP GOING! A little progress on a more discouraging days is much better than no progress at all. “There is a power in numbers; it is a proven fact! You will continue to keep moving when you keep going. The right people will cross your path when you stay the course.”
